A-spire Pendant lamp

The EBB & FLOW A-spire Pendant embodies a complete joie de vivre, expressing a positive and joyful outlook on life. Designed as a fusion of vintage, 1970s retro aesthetics and forward-reaching Scandinavian design, A-spire captures the ever-changing ebb and flow of life. Its linear silhouette combines brushed brass and borosilicate glass, resulting in a sleek yet organic expression.

Inspired by a lamp that once graced her parents' 1970s bedroom, EBB & FLOW founder and designer Susanne Nielsen created A-spire as a modern interpretation of nostalgic charm. Although the original lamp is lost to time, its essence lives on in Nielsen's imagination, shaping the unique form of A-spire. The name itself carries a dual meaning, evoking the statuesque nature of a spire while also symbolizing the brand's aspiration to deliver beautifully designed lighting solutions.

Breaking away from their signature mouth-blown glass, EBB & FLOW crafted A-spire using borosilicate glass and brushed brass. This construction method allows for the creation of two perfectly straight glass tubes that define the design. The borosilicate glass comes in bold vintage opaline colors such as white and blue, showcasing technical precision and advanced craftsmanship. Alternatively, transparent golden smoke, smokey grey, and clear glass with horizontal cut lines offer a different aesthetic, revealing the lamp's exquisite brushed brass details. Sand-blasted shades in olive and grey with silver or gold finishes further enhance the lamp's versatility.

Equipped with a built-in LED light source, the A-spire Pendant is designed to direct light both downward and sideways, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Its simple yet versatile design makes it equally at home in private residences or stylish hotels, adding a touch of sophistication to any space. A-spire captures the essence of Scandinavian design while embracing the ebb and flow of life with its delightful blend of vintage and modern influences.
